Truce Period Incidents

On the 11th of July 1921 a truce was agreed which brought an end to the Irish War of Independence and the creation of a ceasefire halting all conflicts. However, the negotiations that followed would result in the signing of the Anglo Irish Treaty and in the preceding months divisions and separations would appear between those who supported and opposed it . These differences would later turn into violence and the start of the Irish Civil War. This chapter of the project aims to document and record the incidents that occurred within the county in the lead up to the Irish Civil War.
